ARCHDIOCESE OF HARARE ROMAN CATHOLIC PRIEST ROBBED at 3 am before prayer, assaulted and left limping.
The archdiocese of Harare Roman Catholic’s priest at Holy Rosary Mvurwi, Mashonaland Central province was robbed of his $300 and left limping by two robbers in the early hours of today.
Speaking to Bulawayo24.com Father Regis Chikuni alleges two thugs broke into his room around 3am when he was about to do his prayers and attacked him before demanding money.
“I saw two guys breaking in when l was about to conduct my prayers who demanded money before attacking me.”
“The duo took my $300 which was on my table and varnished, l only saw two men l don’t know if the syndicate was more than that,” explained Chikuni.
A police report was filed at Mvurwi station and sources close to investigations confirmed the case.
Meanwhile, robbery cases are on the increase in Mashonaland Central due to the scarcity of money and robbers are targeting churches 3 years ago ZAOGA church Mvurwi assembly was robbed of its thousands of dollars which was in the strong room. by Simbarashe Sithole
